Your choice of carpet fiber affects performance, aesthetics, and longevity. So, keep your eye on these three–all available in our showroom.
SmartStrand: extensively tested before coming to the US Market
Before Mohawk brought this to market, they used it to line the cage of Max the Rhino. Max's weight equals the weight of 337 pugs and is more significant than a Ford 250 truck. His cage is also messier than 135 four-year-olds.
At the end of the period, the rug only needed a hose-down with warm water. SmartStrand is also soft and comes with a pet warranty.
Feel free to come into our carpet store. You'll see designs like Natural Artistry, available in 40 colors.
PET/triexta: best of all worlds
This fiber combines PET, a "green" product, from recycled plastic bottles. It's strong, naturally stain resistant, and recyclable.
Triexta is also ultra-tough and developed by DuPont, which brought us nylon. It also comes with permanent stain resistance built into the fiber.
Polypropylene: you might know it as olefin
Olefin is just a generic name for polypropylene. This is a synthetic fiber made of plastic polymer.
It's a durable, stain-resistant fiber when shopping for carpet in New Franken, WI. It's also water-resistant, making it ideal for basements and outdoor spaces.
Here are some of our carpets: "Classic" by Southwind LuxMax, Venice by Revolution Mills, and Natural Artistry by Mohawk.
